We will be continuing to work on fluency. We will be reading 'Skunk Scout' and 'Our National Parks' in our reading books. The skills we will focus on will be monitoring comprehension as well as reviewing character & setting. We will be working on more STAAR practice each week in preparation for our assessments in May!

We will be working with the suffixes -ance and -ence this week. We will begin our study of poetry this week as well with the creation of a class limerick. Students will be expected to compose their own limerick this week as well.

This week will be working more with prefixes and word creation. Students will also begin a study of poetry by composing a limerick. We will also discuss the basic elements of poetry and figurative language.
